At least half of the Bill of Rights have been directly violated in the past week with regards to Minneapolis alone. While there are some murmurings from the 2A people that see yesterday for what it is, a manifestation of the tyranny they've long been warning against, the overall silence from the 2A and 10A (states' rights) people is deafening.
In just the past week:
On Monday, Stephen Miller (White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Homeland Security Advisor) explicitly stated online that 'Local and state police have been ordered to stand down and surrender'. (10A)
On Wednesday, we found out via a leaked memo that DHS has been directing ICE agents to enter homes without warrants since at least the summer, and that this is formal agency policy (4A).
Yesterday, federal agents disarmed a man who was lawfully exercising his 1A and 2A rights and shot him in the street, apparently after he was disarmed, and claimed that his 2A right to lawfully carry does not actually exist, while also depriving him of his 6A right to trial and claiming that he got what he deserved (summary execution).
And that's just in the past week, and just with regards to the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments to the Constitution, for international followers).
Central to the government's justification of the current immigration “enforcement actions” is calling into question the validity of the 14A, which establishes birthright citizenship.
I think what gets me most is the near total abdication of principle on the right. Some of the best political and philosophical discussions I've ever had were with Republican friends when I was in college. We could adamantly disagree on a wide range of issues, but could always circle back to what we agreed on. And most importantly, I could count on them to serve as my counterbalance and counterparts in defense of common rights. I have a hard time finding that now.
